Let it begin!

This was my first ever sewing project since being all grown up and using my own sewing machine. Well technically I did sew some small curtains for our other house...but we won't talk about that! It's sufficed to say it involved a lot of frustration and quite a bit of seem ripping. Any-who, I was planning on sewing some for my husbands cousin who is having a baby so I should be able to demonstrate how I made them for you all soon. 

They are made from flannel and have a terry cloth (towel fabric) backing. The edges are finished with binding because I think it gives it a clean look. When I first made them I was afraid the binding made them a little stiff but after one wash they were perfect! Now these are my favorite burps rags and I use them all the time.
